Told entirely from a youth perspective, Let's Get Real features not only kids who are targeted, but also the youth who do the bullying and the allies who intervene when they witness harassment. That’s a Family! is an entertaining half-hour video that breaks new ground in helping elementary school–age children see and understand the many different shapes that families take today. Curriculum available.

 

 

     
   

Straightlaced–How Gender’s Got Us All Tied Up explores how gender expectations limit the lives of all teenagers.  Constant pressure to act a certain way, confronting messages about body image, silencing feelings and making incorrect assumptions about peers are brought to light in candid interviews with more than 50 teens from diverse backgrounds.

It’s Elementary—Talking About Gay Issues in School  is an inspiring, award-winning film that explores how teachers can include discussions about gay people in their classrooms with elementary and middle school students. Discussion guide available.

 

 

     
   

No Dumb Questions explores three children’s reactions when their transgendered uncle Bill decides to start living life as Barbara. No Dumb Questions addresses some of the real problems someone who is transgendered may face, but it also shows a world that can be warm, loving, and accepting. It will serve as an excellent discussion-starter in high school classrooms.
